Part of this role included an overhaul of Honi’s brand identity, as well as laying up a 24-page edition every week and creating both digital and print marketing material for our events program, reporter callouts, and annual writing competition — all within the confines of a (very humble) budget and limited resources.My vision for Honi was bright, colourful, and inclusive — something that every student on campus could pick up and engage with. The brief was to produce something that could transition from corporate tech imagery to a hellish digital landscape rife with sensory overload. I’m Michael Sun, and I’m an award-winning writer and designer. I currently work in arts and culture at Guardian Australia, where I recently hosted the internet culture podcast Saved for Later. I’ve also contributed arts criticism, profiles, and essays to The Saturday Paper, The Monthly, Sydney Review of Books, ABC Arts, Australian Book Review, Liminal Magazine, The Age, and many more. I host a weekly show on FBi Radio in Sydney, where I live. Formerly, I was the Culture Editor at Netflix Australia.&nbsp; I’ve appeared on talks and panels at Sydney Opera House, Sydney Writers’ Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, Art Gallery of New South Wales, The Wheeler Centre, 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art and Queerstories, among others. I’m also a regular guest on The Project and ABC Radio.I love anything bold, vibrant, colourful and weird.
